About Us
Welcome, and well done for getting here.
Taking the first step to getting help is often the hardest one, and takes bravery. People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, whether they are feeling stuck and overwhelmed, in a 'funk' that they can't seem to snap out of, or for troubling emotions that are difficult to shake. You might have a clear goal of what you want to work through, such as past events or difficult challenges that life has thrown at you, or you might not. That's ok - our role is to work with you to figure it all out

At Talk Transformation Psychological Services, we are dedicated to providing bespoke psychological interventions, workshops, and one to one therapy.
Founded by Dr Tara Williams, a Counselling Psychologist specialising in complex trauma, we provide a wide range of interventions that are adapted to meet your needs. Our services use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and attachment informed narrative therapy, to support adults experiencing mental health difficulties or seeking change.
At Talk Transformation we understand how difficult it can be to find a therapist that feels 'right' for you, which is why we offer an initial call to discuss your needs. This allows you to see how we might work together & what this might look like. We offer a calm, collaborative space to help you reach your goals

Who we are

Dr Tara Williams is a Counselling Psychologist specialising in complex trauma. She has experience providing evidence-based interventions in a range of mental health settings, including NHS services. Tara uses an integrated approach, but treatment may include: Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) & Mindfulness

We understand that every person's experience is unique, which presents its own individual challenges. We specialise in supporting individuals struggling with a variety of presenting difficulties, and note that sometimes there may be more than one difficulty occurring.
